As far as I know, most people use ebay to drive traffics to their own website. And from there onwards the conversion will be as same as normal ways of doing internet business. Where either you drive them to purchase from you and give them special bonuses where they will subscribe to any of your offerings (hey you got to show them you’re generous). Example: Newsletters/ezines, or your own products (giveaway for free – that require registration to collect emails) like e-book which you can use as viral which will be more effective. Or you can just give them free membership if available. Most people like to join membership since it will be there always. So, this can be a good method.

What more important is when using e-bay as your main source of traffics is to build your credibility and that can be done by using Feedback.

To get a good feedback you MUST give Quality Product and Good Service! Period!

Apparently if you have 500 positive (good) feedbacks on eBay and someone else selling the same product has only 30, your chances of selling that product are far greater than the other guy’s. And your chances of driving them to your site are greater than the others.

The same applies with 1000 positive feedbacks to the other person’s 200. In fact your chances of selling your product grow exponentially to the amount of positive feedback you receive. Just imagine if you can drive of these 1000 visitors to your newsletters or let them download free products with your links in it? It will be free viral marketing and you don’t have to worry about sign-up since they will help you drive more traffics without you do anything else.

If you have low feedbacks don’t worry, we all had to start off with nothing, and you just have to work on it…The primary point is to keep it positive and to avoid negative feedbacks at all costs.

Feedback is a crucial part of this business, that’s why we need it, want it and have to work for it.

And as for the Squidoo…

Squidoo normally used by Bum Marketers and Lens Masters because a major driving force is by using high competition keywords to get into google search listing which leads to targeted traffic to your products/services.

Squidoo are designed for traffic generation and you can also redirect to your own websites. But of course you don’t have to since Squidoo is free. There are tons of tools built in with squidoo like video (youtube), audio,rss, opt-in forms, use it for social networking like myspace, and etc.
