I received an email today from one of my favorite subscriber asking how to start a Wordpress blog. She’s around 60 years old and has started her own internet business early this year. I was so impressed because at her age she so eager wants to learn things. Sometimes when I met this kind of people I feel embarrassed because they want to do something to change their life. Their commitment and efforts are amazing!

Anyway, not only her I have some other newbies subscribers who are still don’t own a blog. One of the main reasons they don’t own one is simply because of the technical skills.

See, there are 2 ways you can setup your blog.

1. Using your cPanel (control panel) from your hosting provider where normally they will provide an application called Fantastico to create the blog with few clicks only.
2. Download Wordpress files from http://www.wordpress.org/download/ and install it manually which would require technical skills.

Cons:

Method two is for the expert and for those who have technical knowledge. I would personally recommend this method because you can upgrade the version instantly from the blog itself.

Having a blog is a great way to brand your name and also to make some income online. You can make money in many ways apart from selling digital products you can also sell physical things, ads space and many more.
