When I was a newbie back then, creating a website is not an option. I want to make money online, yes; luckily I came from programming background so HTML, PHP, or other programming languages seem to be easy for me. I knew I need a website so I built one.

Hey, it looks like everyone wants to get a piece of the action from making money online. For the newbies who just getting their feet wet; it is very tempted with Adsense because it’s the easiest way to make first dollar. Hey, first dollar is easy but it can’t make you rich overnight. Using Adsense is one of the most effective ways for your blog to earn some profits. I felt the same when I started my online business until I spent 100% of the efforts to make money with Adsense.

So, what is it actually?

Adsense is a free advertising program run by Google that can be easily integrated into your blog or your website. Adsense is a Google-provided program that pays blogs and websites no matter which part of the world one belongs to. If you employ Adsense in your blog, you will be able to earn additional income without really sweating it out. You don’t have to invest anything actually and with proper research you could make fair profits. So, where can you actually implement that Adsense? As long as you have website whether it’s free blog or your own website you can simply put the Adsense codes. But there are some guidelines that need to be followed by you while you integrate it into your blog. For further info you can refer at Google Adsense site.

How can I earn from Adsense?

First, you got to register at http://www.google.com/adsense/

You see… Adsense is a program from Google. When you place Google Ads (codes) on your page or blog, you are maximizing your potentials of earning additional revenues when your visitors click the ads. These ads are normally those that are relevant to your blog or the topic you are talking about. Usually, Google chooses ads that are the most expected to generate good revenues for your blog.

To maximize your earnings you need to have a good content blog. If your blog’s content is quality, it will attract visitors into the site. Talk about something interesting and current issues where everyone can participate.

You see… Traffic is the key here. The more traffic you can bring to your site the greater number of clicks on the ad you will get and that’s when you can earn more profits. There are few elements that you need to consider to monetize from Google Adsense. These elements are:

1) Quality Content:

Writing quality content is the most important aspect to monetize from Adsense. You need to spend time to do some detailed research on your website structure, suitable keywords, and your ads placement. By doing all those it would certainly drive in heavy web traffic to your site. As more and more visitors would visit your site, the probability of ads getting clicked by them would also increase thereby increasing your Adsense earnings.

2) Traffic:

Now, the higher position your site in search engines is the better traffic you will get. So, to get into higher position you need to understand Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This is because when visitors type in their keyword they would probably land up on your site. So, the entire website structure and format should be optimized in such a way so that visitors get what they are looking for. So, it’s essential to understand that your Adsense account won’t end up zero returns.

3) Ads Color:

There are again some important elements that must be kept in mind while integrating Google Adsense account into your site:

  • Keep the background color of ads same as that of your template background so that the ads blend well with the template.
  • The links should be the same color as that used for the links placed in the content and also the ad description must be of the same color as the content of your blog.
  • Ads without border perform well than ads placed within borders.
  • It has also been seen that big rectangular ads are better since they have higher CTR.

4) Ads Placement:

The best way to place the ads is at the top of your page or somewhere at the prominent places where the visitors are most likely to land up. There are few types of Adsense such as link units, text units, text or images. Hey, don’t just simply placing a lot of ads in a single page. There are terms and conditions to be followed. Please read the rules and regulations properly before even starting your Adsense. Once you understand the rules, try spending sometimes to understand the best position of the ads. This is to make sure you can get the best placement that gives a boost to CTR.

5) Monitoring & Tracking:

Keep a regular eye on your Adsense account and finalize targets in respect of CTR and earnings. You should analyze and understand which area gives you more profits. By doing testing from time to time you will get the best results.

6) Web Hosting:

Do not use free hosting or cheap hosting. This is the most common mistake made by most marketers. Get a reliable server that offers good support such as 24 × 7 technical & customer support, backup server, bigger bandwidth and disk space etc. One of the hosting that I personally used and recommended is Hostgator. They are one of the best around with excellent support.

Hey, I know what you up to now. Don’t get too clever and do tricks to earn more. There are some practices that you MUST follow and avoid from getting ban. These are:

  1. DON’T EVER click on the Google ads yourself. Google will close for such issue.
  2. DON’T EVER persuade your friends to click on those Google ads. Google will close for such issue.
  3. DON’T EVER place your Google Ads on adult sites.
  4. DON’T EVER place Google Adsense ads on the same page with identical ads.
  5. DON’T EVER tamper with code of Google Adsense.
  6. DON’T EVER place more than 3 ads in the same page.

For more info please read their rules and regulations from time to time.

Making money using your blog through Adsense is a very easy process to follow. However, the first thing that you will need to do, before integrating Adsense into your site, is to make sure that you have relevant and interesting contents for your blog. Once visitors find reading your blog informative and fun, your visitors will never stop coming, and the clicks will always increase! Remember, the more ad clicks, the more revenue you will earn!

Hopefully, with this information, you’re all set to monetize your blog. So, what are you waiting for? Take action and start integrate Google Adsense into your site now.
