The world is often referred to as a “global village”. If that is the case then it would seem more precise to refer to it as a “global city” these days, then the Internet is surely its local newspaper. If you think back years ago, we will be wondering the scores and never get the chances to watch soccer game being played in England would have continued to wonder until such time as the scores were reported with a single line in a local newspaper some days later. Today, with advanced technology we can log on to any sites that will update live scores and may even be able to watch the game live. Once you sign on to Twitter for the first time, you will be welcomed by a question at the top of the screen saying “What Are You Doing?” which may sound impolite. The factual answer to this may not be anything predominantly intriguing. Without a doubt, it may be “Log on to Twitter”. It may go without saying, but this question need not be answered in full every time you read it. The more basic and ordinary your Twitter updates are, the less likely people are to follow you.
